There are many people in life from which you draw your
strengths. There may be many people who can be your weakness. But there are
only few who can be your strength and weakness at the same time. One such
person in my life is my sister. She is my pillar of strength and my biggest weakness.
She motivates me when I hit the rock bottom, and criticizes me when needed. She
has not just been there through my bad and good times; she has lived them all
with me (almost all).
But you might be wondering why am I writing all this, all of
a sudden ? The only reason I’m writing this is because she’s getting married
and flying away to a far, far place. This is when I’m hit by this realization
that she won’t be around in coming days. Today, she cleared the examination
which is a mandate to obtain the visa. She is one step ahead in reaching her
destination. Has she really taken a step ahead or has she moved one step away
from me ?
I never want to make myself weak for anyone in this world. I’m that
practical kinda guy who doesn’t want to give room for emotions. Probably I’ve
succeeded so far. The only blemish being this blog which stands as a written
proof that I can get emotional and quite too emotional. Traits of human being,
huh ?

| Sister looking her best. That is because she is with me. :p |
Travelling, exploring, trying new food has always been our
common characteristic. I still remember (and she still possess) the menu that
we made as children for our restaurant. Memorable days they were! The most
amazing and quality time that I got to spend with her was in 2012-13. I had
completed my under graduation and was preparing for entrance exams and she was
doing an animation course in Ahmedabad. We stayed alone at my aunt’s vacant
house for a year. And also by that time we were matured enough to be there for
each other. There was no void.
The beauty of time is – it flies. All you can do is look
back and cherish the memories that you hold. She has always been happier in my
happiness and a troubleshooter in my bad days. If not a troubleshooter, she was
a reliever, who shared the trouble. I’m not much of a crying person. In fact we
always fought over how she and my mom started crying every time they missed me
(it happened very recently when she was parting with me). Today all I could
barely manage is to stop crying after a minute. Tears trickled down my face
with the thought of she leaving me. Sent shivers down my spine. It’s the
memories that helped me regain the composure and pen these thoughts down before
I’m at a loss of words. All I can say to her is that I Love Her and can’t
figure myself without her.
